Closed: 1st Jan, Easter Sunday (April), July 1st Canada Day, Nov 1st, Dec 25th and Dec 26th. The embassy is also closed on the UAE holidays of Eid Al Fitr and Eid al Adha.
The Canadian government offers support for Canadians travelling abroad. It is a good idea to register here so that if any problems arise they know you are in the country.

For notarial services you need to be book an appointment. The Abu Dhabi New Zealand Embassy doesn't issue visas. For that you need to contact the New Zealand Immigration Service in Dubai.
