Heritage Village Abu Dhabi is one of the best cultural attractions. It is a re-creation of an Emirati village and showcases the Bedouin lifestyle. You will find it on the Breakwater, which is reclaimed land off the main Abu Dhabi island. You can walk along the Corniche past the Marina Mall and you will find this interesting cultural attraction.

This is a great family friendly attraction with lots of fun things to do with the kids! There are Bedouin tents set up with campfires brewing up the famous Arabic tea. Your children will love the camels, Arabian horses and goats on display. There are several artisan exhibits showcasing the local arts such as weaving or glass blowing. There are often falconry demonstrations as well.
You can enjoy the small traditional souk where you can practice your bargaining skills for some Abu Dhabi souvenirs such as hand made soap, silver jewellery and traditional clothing. There are also some stalls offering henna. Don`t miss out on the museum at the Heritage Village.
It has photos of Abu Dhabi from before the oil boom. It is a must see! It is amazing how Abu Dhabi has changed from a sleepy pearl diving village to the booming city of today in such a short period. There are also several Holy Qurans, jewellery and traditional weapons on display.
There is an Arabic restaurant on site where you can grab a bite to eat or a drink.
You can also see the demonstration of a functioning falaj irrigation system that is still used in areas of the UAE to irrigate the palm groves. Don't miss the traditional cooling tower.
There is a beautiful stretch of white sand beach and turquoise waters! You can enjoy a couple hours here watching the jet skiers and power boats race up and down the waterfront. Grab a drink and enjoy the excellent views of the Abu Dhabi skyline. There are several traditional dhows also on the beach.
Across the street you can check out the beautiful Arabian Gulf waters. They are gorgeous turquoise waters-some of the most beautiful you will ever see!

Saturday-Thursday 8am-1pm and 5pm-9pm.
*The gates are open during the afternoon so you can still wander around and enjoy the beach.
You can walk down to Marina Mall . It is approximately 10 minutes walk.
Your Abu Dhabi Guide Tips:
Visit in the late afternoon or evening as there are more stalls and exhibits open and combine it with a visit to Marina Mall.
You can also see one of the world's tallest flagpoles along this road!
Taxis as usual are plentiful and cheap in Abu Dhabi.
If you are driving there are lots of parking spaces along the way.
Bus Service 05, 07, 08, 09, 11, 32 and 34 run out to that area.
